Per New York State Public Health Law (NYS PHL), a Regional Emergency Medical Services Council (REMSCO) membership must include representation from several constituency groups that either provide emergency medical services or have an allied relationship with EMS within the Region. The purpose of this mix is to have delegates that may review and discuss issues from varied perspectives.
NYS PHL requires all council members live in the region they represent (Westchester County). Evening meetings for the REMSCO are held 6 times a year (January, March, May, June, September, and November). Attendance and participation is expected of any delegate chosen to be a member of the REMSCO.
